Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani says that government hasnt brought the National Reconciliation Ordinance into parliament as sense of the house was opposed to it, reported Dunya News. Addressing the National Assembly session, PM maintained that government was sincere in standing firm on Charter of Democracy. He assured that government was determined to eliminate 58 2 B and protecting institutions. PM told that he would soon call a special cabinet meeting to discuss all problems faced by the country. We want to launch an austerity drive so that people dont have a sense of deprivation. I will invite all four Chief Ministers to attend the meeting, PM said. He vowed to overcome on all crises including sugar crisis which he said had intensified. The issue of gas load shedding is also very important as its hampering the industrial production. Punjab CM has also talked to me about this and we would devise strategy to counter this problem, PM added. PM maintained that merit would be strictly followed while allotting jobs. We want to strengthen democracy and bring all parties on real issues. Senators in four provinces and Islamabad were elected unopposed which was a sign of our political maturity. We have shown that we can sit and decide about certain things, PM asserted.
