Sixteen people were killed and 35 others injured in trains collision in Gumma Goth Landhi area of Karachi on Tuesday, reported Dunya News. Five kids and women are also among the injured. Rescue teams and police have reached the spot and injured are being taken out of trains. The railway transportation has been suspended after the accident. According to detailsm Allama Iqbal Express collided with a fret train near Jumma Goth railway crossing badly damaging the first compartment of the passenger train. Police and rescue teams couldnt reach the spot immediately due to difficulty in marking the exact location. Locals started relief activities however after some time they were joined by police and rescue teams. Emergency has been announced in the local hospitals. Dunya News correspondent told that people are trapped in train and rescuers are trying to pull them out. A rescuer told Dunya News that some 20 injured had been taken out while seven people have died. He told that gas cutters are being used to cut the train compartments to pull passengers out. He informed that rescue activities could take at least three to four hours.
