Most parts of the county are in grip of severe cold wave with temperatures dropping below freezing point, paralysing the normal life and keeping the people indoors.
Dense fog has paralysed life in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar as a result motorway has been closed from Lahore to Kot Momin and Peshawar to Islamabad for all kind of traffic.
The fog has also disrupted flight schedule at the Islamabad airport and four Islamabad-bound flights from Dubai and Afghanistan were diverted to Lahore.
The Met office has predicted the foggy condition in Punjab, including Lahore, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sukkur and Larkana division will prevail during the next few days.
