Summary Says completion of tenure by govt shows politics has matured in Pakistan.

 

CHAKWAL: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf says no one can harm democracy now.

Addressing a big public meeting in Chakwal Saturday afternoon‚ he said democracy is the future of the country.


The prime minister said media and judiciary are backing democracy in the country and military leadership is also pro-democracy.


He said he held talks with the political leaders and they all agreed on continuation of democratic process.

“The next five years of the elected government will further strengthen the democracy.


He assured that elections would be held on time and there would be no delay even for a single day.

He said elections are a trust of the people and these will be returned to the people and whoever voted to power would serve the people.


Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave importance to the people in the politics and give them right to vote, he said.


He said reconciliation policy of Pakistan People’s Party would continue.

President Asif Ali Zardari implemented the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto by making a coalition government, he said.


Accepting all the demands of the people relating to the development of the area the PM ordered to immediately start work on the development projects of the area.
