ZA Bhutto launched Pakistan People’s Party in 1967 which had won 1970 elections in the then West Pakistan with a vast majority.

The late prime minister had earned a place in the galaxy of leaders of the Third World who earned fame in the struggle against colonialism and imperialism. Bhutto’s formation of a new political party was a setback for the reactionary forces in a country-- long dominated by rightists.
