Kohistan video scandal claims 4 lives

At least four people, linked to Kohistan video scandal, were killed in remote village Gudar.

 

Clerics at a local jirga had allegedly issued orders for the killing of four women and two men after a mobile video emerged of them singing and dancing at a wedding in a remote village in Kohistan a few months ago.

 

According to Afzal, the main character in the scandal, the four women were killed after the decree was issued by jirga while he along with his two brothers was sent to Mansehra Jail no proof was found against them.

 

Afzal and his brothers were released on bail a week ago and were shifted to Rawalpindi unser tight security. On the other hand, the rivals attacked relatives of Afzal in Gudar area of Kohistan after which exchange of fire took place between the two parties.

 

According to DIG Hazara, Dr Naeem, four people were killed in the encounter. The identities of the dead are not yet known.

 

Dr Naeem also informed that a police party, headed by DSP Nazir Khan, has been dispatched to sight of the clash.
