Summary Former PM says he cannot contest upcoming general elections as Supreme Court had disqualified him.
KARACHI:-Former Prime Minister and Vice Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Yousaf Raza Gilani while talking to the media at Karachi Airport said that if elections were not held on time, the country would have to face another crisis.
He said that his party does not believe in orchestrating internal disunity among PPP’s rival parties.
“Pir Pagara is my younger brother and I would call on him after participating in the death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh”, he added.
Commenting on Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran chief Tahir-ul-Qadri, Gilani said that he is a respectable person and he has been meeting Qadri several times, but everything has to be seen in the context of elections.
