A high-level meeting chaired by PM Gilani discussed security situation across the country after recent spate of terrorism as the meeting decided to tighten security of important public and government places, Dunya News reported Friday.According to sources, while discussing the terrorist attacks carried out in Punjab, the intelligence agencies were urged to make their sources more effective and weaken the terrorists network internally. It was decided in the meeting that funds would be allocated to provide state of the art equipment to the security forces to cope with terrorists. The meeting also decided that civil and military intelligence agencies would share real time intelligence information and would launch immediate operation where required. The government and military leadership was briefed about the security measures and actions taken against militants so far. Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, DG ISI, Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider, key cabinet ministers, Chief Ministers of Sindh, Balochistan and NWFP, Senior Provincial Minister of Punjab Inspector General Police of all the four provinces, top military, intelligence and law enforcement agencies officials attended the meeting chaired by PM Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
