A blast outside a marriage hall of Hayat Abad Phase II area of Peshawar injured 15 people , Dunya News Friday reported. According to Dunya New Correspondent the blast occurred near main Alzarghoni Mosque. The eye witnesses told that the sound of the blast was very powerful which was heard till far. The witnesses said that the blast was carried out in a car. After the blast, windowpanes of the nearby buildings shattered and the clouds blanketed the area. A man came out of a white car after which the blast occurred at once, an eye witness said. The rescue teams have reached to the spot; however, no casualties are reported yet. The injured have been shifted to the Hyat Abad Medical Complex where the emergency has been imposed. Government and private offices are located in the area. The intelligence agencies had reports that the terrorists could struck on Friday and strict security measures had been taken. Police and rangers officials reached and surrounded the area after the incident. They did aerial firing to disperse the people from the spot. Chief Executive Hayat Abad Medical Complex Aftab Durrani told Dunya News that no dead bodies had been brought to the hospital yet. He said that the hospital was on red alert and the injured are being treated. NWFP Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain told media that the militants couldnt find a place to strike following the tight security measures and carried out the blast here. He told that the land where blast occurred was official property and was given on lease. DCO Peshawar confirmed that 15 people are injured. Two suspects have been arrested from the spot.
