Summary Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif has observed good Pak-India ties are must for sustainable peace in region.

 

Talking to the delegation of British High Commission, on Saturday, he stated that war did not give anything to both the countries and peace was the only option in favour of both of neighboring countries.

 

He stressed the need for resolving all the outstanding issues including Kashmir, Siachen, water dispute and others, through dialogue, he maintained.

 

The chief minister said that both the countries would have to move forward by taking concrete measures for eliminating poverty, unemployment and starvation from the region in-order to bring a positive change in the region, he added.

 

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan gave great importance to its relations with Britain and there was a need of further improving economic ties between both the countries.

 

He was of the view that Pakistan was facing plenty of challenges in energy sector and British investors can benefit from the opportunities of investment in energy sector in Punjab.

 

The Chief Minister said that laptop scheme, Punjab educational endowment fund, green tractors scheme, voucher scheme of Punjab Education Foundation and other projects have been started for the encouragement of youth. Other provinces were also following these programmes of Punjab government, said Shahbaz Sharif.
