Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said that Kashmir remained the oldest unresolved issue on the UN Security Council Agenda and a source of constant conflict between Pakistan and India.
In her statement at the 39th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Djibouti‚ she said that Human rights violation and persecution of the Muslim majority remained rampant in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Foreign Minister hoped that the two countries would be able to find peaceful and mutually acceptable solutions to all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
Supporting Rohingya Muslims basic human rights‚ the Foreign Minister said that the government and the people of Pakistan were deeply saddened over the repression of Muslim minority in Myanmar.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani also had meetings with her counterparts from Saudi Arabia‚ Iran and Afghanistan on the sidelines of the conference‚ and discussed bilateral as well as various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
