Summary FBR has issued notices to Pak cricketers who are involved in tax evasion.

Pakistan cricket team Captain Misbah ul Haq and T-20 captain Muhammad Hafeez and some other players figure atop in the list of tax evaders, says a report.The other players are Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Azhar Ali, Imran Farhat, Kamran Akmal, Rana Naveed ul Hassan, Saeed Ajmal, Toufiq Omar, Omar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Rehman, Asad Shafiq, Tanvir Ahmad, Omar Gul, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanveer and Yasir Irfat.Report said several players of national team concealed their real income and did not submit income tax returns. Abdul Razzaq filed only manual income tax returns for the year 2010 and 2011. Players included in 1-day, T-20, domestic and county teams had concealed their real income, report added.Report disclosed that notices to some players appearing in the list have been issued and the remaining will be served upon such notices in a few days because of non filing of the returns . Some tax payers among them are holding no tax number nor are they filing returns. Most of the cricketers are not filing bank statements to conceal their real assets.FBR has sought details of assets of these players from withholding agents like Pakistan Cricket Board and National Bank where they are serving and receiving salaries. Data has been obtained from the deductions being made from their salaries.Some players who have participated in county matches have also not shown income nor have they revealed the income accrued from advertisements.
