The Public Accounts Committee PAC chairman Nadeem Afzal Gondal has been eager to highlight amount of recovery made by committee under his chairmanship and.Public Accounts Committee met here at Parliament House with Nadeem Afzal Gondal in the chair and was told that under committee’s directions a huge sum of Rs 27.231 billions of plundered national money had been recovered due to committee’s performance in year 2011-12.As per details Rs, 0.846, 0.658, 1.066, 3.47, 2.010, 6.872, 0.590, 0.264, 7.648, 0.882, 810.81 and Rs 2.108 billions had been recovered in July 2011, August 2011, September 2011, October 2011, November 2011, December 2011, January 2012, February 2012, March 2012, April 2012, May 2012 and June 2012 respectively.It is pertinent to note here that PAC made recovery of more than Rs 130 billions of plundered money during three and half years of chairmanship of former Chairman committee Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.Nadeem Afzal Chan current chairman has ever longed to follow the tradition set by his predecessor and has been asking Auditors to provide statistics in this regard to Committee for making public.His desire was fulfilled when Auditors, Thursday, provided a single leaf document in the committee meeting which said that committee had recovered a huge sum of plundered money in last one year up to June 2012.
