Summary All Parties Conference have demanded meeting of OIC for legislation regarding sanctity of prophets.
The conference was arranged by national body for consultation (Qaumi Majlis e Mushawrat) who also released a comprehensive statement.Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the US is heading towards clash of civilizations.The committee members jointly said that if the UN does not legislate on the issue of holy prophets, the Muslim countries should segregate themselves from the rest of the international community.They also said that the NATO supply to US-led forces in Afghanistan should also be blocked at once in case of violation of the international law.DOP member Hafiz Saeed said that sacrilege of the holy prophet (PBUH) is the greatest terrorism in the world.He said that the government tabled different bills in the National Assembly on the part of different NGOs who are following foreign agenda in the name of so-called democracy.Furthering his statement, he said that the Muslim world should adopt a comprehensive strategy in order to cope with the critical situation.JI chief Syed Munawar Hassan said that the US is taking revenge as he is destined to defeat in Afghanistan.He said that a large number of vehicles were set on fire on the murder of Benazir but the media did not highlight the issue. In the same way, the MQM is in habit of torching vehicles but nobody bothered it.AML chief Sheikh Rashid said that the religious parties should unanimously take a decision; otherwise they would have to face degradation by the hand of rulers.He also demanded of the government that the people arrested during protests on Ishq e Rasool Day should be released without prosecution.
