A Three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of dual nationality case on Tuesday.The CJP remarked that no compromise could be made if dual nationality holders take part in legislation process in parliament on national security related matters.Justice Khilji Arif remarked with reference to British nationality that British nationality holder considers him slave to British queen. A common man has every right to put question to MNA of his respective constituency about his dual nationality, he added.Punjab Assembly MPA Amna Butter’s counsel told the court he had come to know about the law related to dual nationality and his client would not go to assembly from now onward.Justice Khilji Arif observed people like Amna Butter become good examples in the society.Counsel for Sardar Shahjahan Yusuf MNA, refuted the allegation of holding dual nationality by his client saying wife of his client was possessing British citizenship.The lawyers of the legislators including Farhat Mehmood and Nadia Gabol did not appear in the court.The Supreme Court reserved the verdict and adjourned the hearing.
