According to NDMA report‚ two hundred seventeen people have been killed and six hundred fifty four injured due to rains and floods so far.The spokesman National Disaster Management Authority said situation in flood affected areas of Punjab and Sindh was now under control. He said the main focus of National Disaster Management Authority and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities was to save human lives and livestock of the people.He said PDMAs were taking preventive measures to avoid epidemics in flood affected areas, adding that the teams of doctors are surveying‚ while medicines were in sufficient to meet any emergency situation. He said people had been shifted to relief camps from flood hit areas. In Balochistan‚ efforts are also continuing to rescue six hundred thousand marooned people in Naseerabad and Jafarabad districts.
