Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said Pakistan had overcome terrorism to a great deal and militants were surrendering on daily basis, Dunya News reported Wednesday. Talking at Multan Circuit House, he said that terrorism was an obstacle in the prosperity, economy and democracy. Prime Minister Gilani maintained that political stability was must to strengthen the national economy and stressed that all political forces should work together to successfully combat challenges confronting the country. He saluted the army and FC personnel who rendered sacrifices during Swat and Malakand operation. Talking to a delegation of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), PM Gilani said that government was solving the problems of industrialists on priority and had launched a Rs 42 billion textile revival package. He said that trade policy was announced for three year period to ensure continuity, whereas, construction of an International airport was progressing quickly in Multan. Gilani announced Rs 10 million for Lawyers Welfare Trust and Rs 5 million each for the district and high court bar during his meetings with members of the high court and district court bar and Peoples Lawyers Forum.
