NWFP government on Saturday has extended detention of Sufi Mohammed, the chief of banned Tehrik-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat Mohammed, for 30 days. Talking to Dunya News, DCO Peshawar Sahibzada Mohammed Anis said that the detention period of Sufi Mohammed has been extended who was arrested under MPO to avoid violence. The law enforcement agencies had arrested Sufi Mohammed from Sethi Town area of Peshawar at the end of August.
