Pakistan wants peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute: Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday stressing need for resolution of the Kashmir dispute urged India come to the negotiations table for lasting peace in the region. We want to resolve the Kashmir dispute peacefully and India is ignoring this gesture continuously, Prime Minister Gilani said while addressing a gathering of Kashmiri leaders at an Iftar dinner in Islamabad. The Kashmir dispute was the cornerstone of Pakistans foreign policy, Gilani stressed. The struggle of Kashmiri people could not be stemmed by suppression and oppression, PM insisted. He said that PPP had expressed solidarity with Kashmiri people of their right to self-determination. He said that Gilgit-Baltistan package would not bring any change in Pakistans principled stand on Kashmir.
