Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani lauded the role of army against militants in Malakand Operation. Addressing soldiers at Temer Gira Scout Base, the Army Chief said that the military is determined to protect each and every part of the country. He offered Fateha Khawani and laid wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada. General Kayani held meetings with national advisors of Lower and Upper Dir and appreciated the cooperation of people during the operation against militants. Stringent security measures were taken in Dir on arrival of the Army Chief.
