Khalid Mirzas removal was wrong: Shaukat Tareen

Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tareen has termed the decision to sack Khalid Mirza, Chairman of Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), as incorrect and said that he would continue working until the expiry of his term. Addressing a seminar in Karachi, the federal minister said that nobody could undermine the importance of the textile sector but no policy had been drafted in 62 years, adding that the textile policy would fill this gap. He said that they were looking for new markets. Federal Minister for Textile Rana Farooq Saeed, Secretary Textile Dr Waqar Masood, Textile Advisor Dr Ikhtiar Baig and Asif Qadir also addressed the seminar.
