Summary A writ has been filed in SC Lahore Registry against exemption of president and prime minister.
The petitioner Jamil Rana Advocate said in his petition that exemption of president and prime minister under article 248 of the Constitution is against the spirit of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.He advocated that nobody deserves exemption including head of the state. On these grounds, the petitioner requested to the court that article 248 of the Constitution is against Islam; so it should be termed null and void.
