Summary Technical fault in transmission line plunged into darkness 16 districts in Balochistan.
At least 16 districts of Balochistan, including, Quetta, Pishin, Mastung, Sibby, Nushki, Khuzdar, Qallat, Kharan, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah are without electricity for the past eight hours as more that 40 feeders were shut down due the technical fault.Residents in these areas are facing hardships due to power shut down and operations in several hospitals were postponed.According to Qesco officials, the powere shut down was caused due to technical fault in the 220KV transmission line between Sibby and Och. They informed that teams have been dispatched to the area and electricity will be restored in the affected areas soon.
