Summary Thousands of liters of Railways diesel spilled on ground due to negligence of the staff.

Railway authorities have suspended three staffers for showing negligence.According to Dunya News’ report, a valve of the oil train coming from Karcahi remained open and due to this about 22,000 liters of oil spilled on ground. The value of the wasted oil is estimated to be Rs 2 million.Divisional Superintendent Railways Javed Anwar said this might be the result of some mutual rivalry among the employees and an inquiry has been initiated in this regard. He said shift foreman Tanvir Dar, charge man Ayub and a technician have been suspended.According to Javed Anwar 5,000 liters of oil was spilled and most of it would be reused after filtering it.However, a Railway Mechanical Engineer said if the spilled oil was reused, it would damage the engines.The incident has exposed the efficiency of the administrators at the helm of affairs in the Railway department.
