PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif once again called for the trial of former President Pervez Musharraf and stressed on repealing the 17th amendment. He said that the PML-N would talk on other issues once the 17th amendment was repealed. Addressing an Iftar dinner, he said that the PML-N would present a resolution in the Parliament only if the government gives guarantee to trial Musharraf. Meanwhile, PML-N central constitutional reforms committee has decided that no clause would be included in 18th amendment that hindered the abolition of 17th amendment. The meeting of the committee was presided over by Nawaz Sharif in which 14 constitutional packages placed before the committee. All the participants were agreed upon that the clauses of 17th amendment that protected the dictator would not be included in 18th amendment. Final recommendations of the committee would be presented to the government after the Bhurban meeting.
