Summary

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has withdrawn its 48-hour ultimatum given to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to mend its ways. Party sources disclosed that the decision was taken after the reconciliatory efforts initiated by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilanis telephonic contact with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Two days ago the statements war intensified between the two parties when PML-N Leader Ahsan Iqbal accused in a press conference that Presidential House was at the backing of conspiracies against PML-N. On the other hand, PPP leaders had refuted the accusations. The differences between the two parties widened after former military officers revealed facts about the formation of IJI in the first regime of Benazir Bhutto.
