Summary Punjab government has issued order to place the arrested doctors under house arrest for one month.
The Punjab government issued a notification on Monday to put the protesting doctors under house for one month.On Sunday night, a meeting of the general council of Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) was underway at Services Hospital to review the overall situation and finalise their strategy in coming days. Meanwhile, heavy police contingent raided the meeting venue and other hostels following provincial governments order and took more than 40 doctors into custody.They were shifted to Kot Lakhpat jail.The young doctors are on strike for past two weeks demanding revision in their service structure and Outdoor Patient Departments (OPDs) of all public hospitals remained shut in protest.
