Social activist Farzana Bari is of the view that civil society should be made potential and dynamic in order to discourage such incidents.Khameso Khan from Ali Murad Chang said that his son Shair Muhammad wedded with a widow two months ago. At this, the headman of village called a meeting of community people who paid no heed to Khameso Khan’s family members and announced to do vani their two innocent daughters.The victims include five-year-old Begam and six-year-old Konj.The affected family said that that they are being threatened of dire consequences while police is hesitating from cooperating with them in this regard.The social activist Farzana Bari while talking to Dunya News said that legislative has passed law against vani with penalty.The civil society should take bold actions to discourage such shameful activities.
