The majority of Sasta Bazaars and Truck Points, established by the Punjab Government for providing cheaper edible commodities, are unable to deliver properly due to excessive rush and improper management. Dozens, and at some places, hundreds of fasting men and women stand in queues for hours to buy flour and sugar at reduced prices at these sasta bazaars. Flocks of people can also be seen tussling with each other to reach to the selling points. The 20 kg bag of flour is available at Rs 200 in Ramazan Bazaars. Other commodities are also available on the stalls.
