Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Commander Wali-ur-Rehman has claimed that Baitullah Mehsud is alive and declared U.S President Barack Hussein Obama his biggest enemy. Giving interview to a news agency in Makeen, Wali maintained that need of new TTP chief emerged in the wake of Baitullahs severe ailment. Waliur Rehman is a cousin of Baitullah and a strong candidate for the TTP leadership. Wali revealed that new chief of the TTP would be decided by the Taliban council in next five days. He asserted that Baituallh himself handed over TTP control to him. Baitullah said that I will lead Taliban in his absence. He reiterated to help Afghan militants and fight against them till the US forces are pulled out of Afghanistan, Wali elaborated. The controversy over the death of Baitullah Mehsud is continuing in the third week. All the high officials in Pakistan and US high-ups have confirmed the death of Baitullah however TTP still claims he is alive. On the other hand, Interior Minister Rehman Malik says that TTP should give evidence if it claims that Baitullah is alive. Baitullah Mehsud Group's spokesman Saifullah Mehsud has claimed that Baitullah is dead. Speaking exclusively in Dunya TV's program Dunya Investigation Cell on August 15, 2009 Saifullah said that Baitullah was sleeping at the room's roof-top along with his wife at the time of U.S drone attack. According to him, the lower portion of his body couldn't be found. Only upper portion of Baitullah's body saved, he revealed. Saifullah also confirmed that Baitullah was buried at a location named Bibi Zai.
