PM directs federal ministries to follow approved policy for appointment

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has directed all Federal Ministries, Divisions, Departments and public sector Corporations to strictly follow the approved policy for appointment in management and private management groups. He said that it is imperative for good governance and transparency that proper procedure is followed so that candidates could be selected on merit. The posts should be advertised and the incumbent should be interviewed and their eligibility for Management grades 1, 2 and 3 should be determined in accordance with the qualifications and suitability. By strictly following the established procedure and adhering to the policy of merit and suitability the selected candidates would be an asset to the nation and contribute to the nations development, he added.
