Summary Electricity supply to 16 Balochistan districts was suspended due a fault in transmission line.
According to Chief Engineer Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) the transmission line coming from Quetta to Gudu developed a fault resulting in suspension of supply to 16 districts of Balochistan including Quetta, Sibi, Jalal Magsi, Bolan, Harnai, killa Saif Ullah, killa Abdullah, Pishin and Zhob.Electricity of Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awaran, Wasahak, Nawashki and Chaghi also remained suspended due to fault in transmission in main line.According to the Chief Engineer QESCO Naeem Shah Quetta and some of its adjoining areas are being supplied electricity through Independent Power Production (IPP).QESCO Teams are patrolling the 220 KV Gudu line for identifying the fault and the electricity supply would be restored soon, he said.
