Chaudhary Iftikhar Ali Khan, former defense secretary and brother of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has been laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard. His funeral prayer was offered in his village Chakri. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Raja Zafarul Haq, Ishaq Dar, District Nazim Lahore Mian Muhammad Amer, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Intelligence Bureau Chief Ejaz Shah, Khawaja Asif, Raja Riaz, Munir Orakzai, Ayaz Amir, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and many other members of Pakistan Peoples Party, Jamat-e-Islami, PML-Q offered the funeral. Strict security measures were made on the occasion.
