Summary Lahore High Court constituted a commission to probe Ravi pollution case.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah resumed the hearing on Ravi pollution plea on Friday. During case proceeding, petitioner’s counsel Ahmad Rafay Alam told the court that river Ravi is receiving wastewater from factories at several points, and the rate of dumping was rising.Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) told that court that several notices were sent to the factory owners but no action was taken.LHC constituted a commission headed by former DG agriculture Dr Kausar Abduallah to probe the cause and seriousness of the pollution problem in the river.
