Sugar prices set by Federal Government unacceptable: PHC CJ

Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan says that increase in the sugar prices by the federal government is unacceptable. Giving remarks during the hearing of Suo Moto notice on inflation and increase in essential food items prices, CJ said people sitting in Islamabad didnt realized that war-stricken province was in need of relief. He directed Food Department to fix the prices of exported sugar and provide it to the people. He also ordered the government to stop the sugar smuggling to Afghanistan. Justice Dost Muhammad asked for the report on inflation in essential food items and adjourned the hearing.
