Summary

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members exchanged hot words during National Assembly (NA) session on opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khans remarks, Dunya News reported Wednesday. PML-N members chanted slogans against former president Pervez Musharraf as the assembly looked in chaos. Addressing the NA session Ch Nisar said MQM would not be allowed to do politics in other parts of the country as it did in Karachi, adding MQM take ministries and sit with opposition. He addressed MQM members urging them to clarify whether they belong to treasury or opposition, adding no hypocrisy will work now. The MQM members strongly protested and stood on the benches and the whole house was soon seen in chaos. The opposition leader said MQM sat with Musharraf, when in power, and when they saw Musharraf being dragged to accountability, they moved to PPP and took ministries. He questioned the discussions of minus one formula and asked whom President Zardari is afraid of. He urged the president and anyone else to stay away from useless statements. The national Assembly approved Guardian and Ward Bill 2008.
