US will provide Pakistan with modern equipment for operation in Waziristan, US Special Representative on Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke has said. Holbrooke called on Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Tuesday. Possible operation in North Waziristan was discussed in the meeting. Kayani and Holbrooke also discussed Taliban infighting, post-Baitullah Mehsuds death scenario, Swat situation and professional needs of the army. They also agreed on increasing cooperation in the defense sector between the two countries.
