Summary Pak curbs on NATO supplies cannot hamper war against terror in Afghanistan: Afghan diplomat.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the Afghan diplomat informed ONLINE, that NATO was being supplied all its required supplies through Central Asian States, which was slightly inconvenient in extreme winters. He also said that this route was also not very expensive, as was being perceived, as compared to rather very exorbitant U$.5000 demand of Pakistan’s 25 containers.“ Some containers might be carrying less than U$.5000 of total supplies”, expressed the diplomat. The diplomat said that Pakistan-USA talks were underway for resumption of NATO supplies, and were heading in a positive direction, as Afghanistan keenly awaited positive reaction of Pakistan. It is pertinent to note that Pakistan has stopped NATO supply route from Pakistan, following NATO/ISAF attack on Salala check post, the previous year.He said that Pakistan sought an unconditional apology from Americans, while it had also demanded increasing tax on each passing supply container from U$. 250 to U$.5000.
