Referring to the PML-N’s recent criticism over his status after the verdict of Supreme Court, PM Gilani said that political parties were not responsible for ensuring that the orders of the Supreme Court were implemented.Speaking to the media, Prime Minister Gilani made a specific reference to the PML-N when making this statement.When asked by a reporter if he would be resigning, the prime minister replied “who should I give my resignation to?”When asked about talks with the US, the prime minister said they were ongoing. He also said that President Asif Ali Zardari would be attending the upcoming NATO summit in Chicago.PM Gilani says negotiations are underway with the United States on new terms of engagements.Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday he said President Asif Ali Zardari will participate in NATO Conference in Chicago on an unconditional invitation.Earlier‚ Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the democratic government is committed to the development of information technology.Addressing a function in connection with World Telecommunication and Information Society Day in Islamabad on Thursday‚ he said development of information technology is must for meeting economic challenges.The Prime Minister said it is important to ensure benefits of economic development to the people. He also highlighted the role of women in the process of economic development.The Prime Minister announced establishment of Arfa Karim Institute of Information Technology in Islamabad.
