Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) have decided not to talk with media on local governments and other issues. On the other hand, President Asif Ali Zardari has announced to form a separate grid station and a university for Lyari. These things were agreed upon in a meeting of MQM delegation with the president in Bilawal House Karachi. Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad, City Nazim Mustafa Kamal, Federal Minister Babar Ghauri, Wasim Aftab and others were present in the meeting. Sources said that local government elections in the province, law and order situation, development projects, their funds and other issues were discussed in the meeting. It was decided that no member from both the parties would talk to media on any of these issues. Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Punjab Governor also called on President Zardari. Later, talking to the parliamentarians from Lyari, the president said that he would not allow disturbing the areas peace. He also announced to construct new building of Lyari General Hospital.
