Minister of State for Industry and Production Dr Ayatullah Durrani has accused that the opposition is equally involved in sugar hoarding. He said that Humayun Akther has hoarded 78,000 ton sugar, which is a property of Trading Corporation. Answering a question by Sheikh Aftab in the National Assembly Durrani said that utility stores would be provided with 60,000 ton sugar in Ramadan. Rashid Akbar Niwani said on the point of objection that presence of 2,000 US soldiers in the American Consulate was a point of concern. He demanded the government should clarify the situation. The Ministry of housing told the National Assembly in written that 12 police officials were illegally living in official residencies in Islamabad. Minister of State for Education Ghulam Farid Kathia told the assembly that Pakistan had awarded scholarships to 200 students of Occupied Kashmir and 100 students of Bangladesh in fields of IT, medicine and engineering. He said that steps were being taken to give scholarship to 1000 Afghan students.
