Summary LHC has sought an explanation from IG Punjab on not giving promotion to DSPs despite court order.
Chief Justice while passing his remarks said that in which language the verdict should be written as to be legible for police. The court has no authority except indictment, he said.LHC Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed conducted hearing of contempt of court case against the IG Punjab.The court was told that seniority list of DSPs had not been released despite court order.While showing his resentment, Chief Justice said that court showed way for implementation on the verdict which was not followed as per rule.While furthering his remarks, he said that the court knows how to implement on verdicts.The IG Punjab has been ordered to appear before the court on April 24.
