Muzaffarabad: 5 students killed due to land slide

In a village of Azad Kashmir, 5 students were killed due to heavy land sliding; where as 4 shops and a mini hydel power house got completely destroyed. A mosque was also destroyed during the land slide. Five students of a religious center located in Salakabad, 100 km from Muzaffarabad, were busy doing ablution beside a rainwater stream, when land sliding occurred suddenly, drifting them into the stream where they drowned. According to the local administration, this rainwater stream ends in River Neelam and it is becoming difficult to find the bodies. The electricity supply of village has been cut off due to destruction of the mini hydel power house. Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Yaqoob Khan has deeply grieved over the incident and has ordered to increase the speed of rescue operation.
