The apex court has directed the agencies not to detain anyone illegally.

It further said FIR should be filed before any arrest. The court has asked the attorney general to inform all the agencies concerned regarding the court order. While hearing the case of Umar Mehmood picked up by an agency, the court observed no one should be held illegally.Earlier, Islamabad IG informed the court Umar Mehmood, who used to bring meals for the persons detained by agencies, was picked up by the agency.The court also asked Umar Mehmood about the charges against him, to which ge responded by saying he had no idea about it. He said he kept on asking the agency officials about charges but was told about charges. The court ordered the IG to submit report in Umar Mehmood case within two weeks.
