New Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz Bin Ibrahim Bin Salih Al Ghadir paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the Prime Minister House Wednesday. The Prime Minister said that the two brotherly countries enjoy close ties and share common views on major international issues. He said that the present government values the warm relations with Saudi Arabia and hopes that these fraternal ties would be further strengthened by cooperating in political, commercial, economic, defense and cultural fields. It was decided in the meeting that the Saudi Ambassador and Foreign Secretary would have detailed consultations to chart a road map for the future course of bilateral cooperation in diverse fields. The Saudi Ambassador conveyed the best wishes of King of Saudi Arabia to the President, Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan. He stated that Saudi King held Pakistan and its people very close to his heart had directed him to undertake utmost efforts for furtherance of the bilateral ties between the two countries. He added that with the cooperation of the government of Pakistan, he would like to revive the past agreements and sign new ones to institutionalize the cooperation particularly in trade, investment and economic fields.
