Sindh High Court has sought reply from the Sindh Government and Advocate General on a petition filed by City Nazim Mustafa Kamal against slashing his authority. Kamals lawyer Dr Farogh Naseem giving arguments said that constitution clearly stated that local governments be made effective. He said that Sindh Government was stopping city nazim from doing developmental works by slashing his authority. He demanded that the court should suspend CMs instructions and allow nazim to continue developmental works. Justice Arif Hussain remarked that city nazim had enough authority and the government had only taken back the rights of land transfer /sale. The court issued the notice to the government.
