The hearing of a constitutional petition challenging the appointments of judges and Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) is in progress in Supreme Court. No lawyer from former president Pervez Musharraf. A 14-member larger bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed hearing today. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the prime target of the November 03 steps was judiciary. CJ asked if anyone appeared in the court on behalf of former president but no one turned up in reply. The said bench last week had directed former Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf to appear either in person or through his counsel before the court. Former Deputy Attorney General Raja Muhammad Irshad pleaded the court that he wanted to submit statement about the incidents happened before November 3. Hamid Khan from Sindh High Court gave arguments in the court.
