Security forces in search operations in Swat, Malakand and Lakki arrested 23 militants including a local commander and killed two fighters, a spokesman said on Tuesday. A local commander Liaquat was arrested near Shangla during a search operation, a military spokesman said. Two militants were killed and one arrested in Malookabad and four landmines were defused in Dangram area. In Mandakhel area of Darra Adamkhel seven militants were arrested with heavy arms and ammunition. In Lakki 16 militants were arrested with 82 mortar shells, 10 RPG shells, three artillery rounds, 1760 rifle rounds and other ammunition, the spokesman added.
