The archery competition, one of the most popular traditional sports, saw locals and visitors competing against each other.
Historically, archery was considered as a serious game where players dedicated their lives to mastering their aim.
Archery became the centre of attraction at the festival where players displayed their skills by shooting arrows at mounds of dirt on which targets were marked. A large number of senior citizens participated in the sport with great enthusiasm.

“There are twenty people divided equally in two groups. Both groups play against each other and the group with the highest number of hits wins the game,” said one of the participants.
Locals called on the need for holding regular archery competitions to encourage people to participate and preserve the ancient cultural sport.
