ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and on the directions of Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has taken a revolutionary step for digitising medical devices.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health, the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the digitisation of medical devices on Monday (today).

Registration and licensing of everything from wheelchairs to MRI machines will be done online. Citizens can submit online applications from home to obtain registration and licensing of medical devices.

According to the announcement, this initiative will now shorten the process of years to just twenty days, and the public will have access to quality, safe, and effective medicines and medical devices in a timely manner.

Pakistan's pharmaceutical and medical devices sector has immense economic potential.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Health said that the process of reforms in the health sector is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Health Minister Mustafa Kamal.
